Adam Geary, Ph.D.
Hi! My name is Adam Geary, and for over 30 years I have been leading collaborations and coaching creativity as an award-winning university educator, professional scholar and writer, writing coach and editor, intellectual mentor, co-creator of a small nonprofit, department leader within a large organization, and youth-development counselor. In these positions, I have
created and taught semester-long university courses based on listening and collaboration, in addition to the other “soft skills” of reading, writing and informed research;
coached academic and creative writers and artists through the difficulties and rewards of their creative processes;
collaborated in forming a small nonprofit organization dedicated to forming habits for collaboration and listening in high-school girls through martial arts practice and critical education;
designed curriculum for one-day, two-day and week-long, small group workshops;
led organizational units in creating and institutionalizing habits for listening and responding to clients and stakeholders;
trained peer counselors in active listening and collaboration;
led organizational units through collaborative revisions of their institutional missions, priorities and practices; and
coached emerging academic professionals, young adults and university students in their degree programs, career paths and career development.
Oh! And I have a Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Cruz!
Reach out and let’s talk about how my coaching can help you.
